Dear Pilgrims,
This Sunday we continue our messages from Philippians. The Scripture reading this week is Philippians 4: 10 - 20 (yes, I know it's the same as last week, but this passage has more to say to us), and my message is titled, “Living Beyond Yourself." New members will be received at both services.
Beginning September 14, I'll be speaking 6 weeks from 1 Peter. Small groups/study groups will meet each week and study the Scripture that was the focus of the previous Sunday's message. A brief video and study book will be part of the groups. Study books will be available for everyone, regardless if you are involved in a group. The books are $ 6.50 and will be for sale as soon as we receive them at church. Also, if you would like to sign-up for a group, sheets will be on the moveable wall between the sanctuary and the gathering room beginning this Sunday.
Each Sunday we collect food for the Salvation Army in the shopping cart located on the left as you enter.
Choir practice for the 11:00 a.m. service begins this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. We are moving the practice for the 9:00 a.m. praise team to Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Hand bells begin this Thursday. Everyone is welcome to be a part of one of our choirs, just show up for practice. If you have questions, please see Marti or Pierre.
May you have a great day. In preparation for worship on Sunday, I encourage you to read Philippians 4: 10 -20, and pray that God will open your heart and the hearts of all who attend, to His voice and direction.
Have a wonderful day; see you Sunday.
In His Grace,
Pastor Matthew Neumann
