Friday's update

Dear Pilgrims,

This Sunday, Father's Day, I continue speaking from the Apostle Paul's letter to the Philippians. The Scripture reading is Philippians 2: 12 - 24, and my message is titled, "The Father's Model." We have beautiful music in store.

Please remember that we collect food each Sunday for the Salvation Army in the shopping cart located in the entry way.

The memorial service for Rev. Art Van Camp is Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at Pilgrim.

The memorial service for Susan Wright's mother, Katherine Bellanger is Tuesday, June 24, 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim.

We ask you to pray for Phyllis Keller. Phyllis phoned this week and asked us to pray for her as the cancer has returned. Prognosis is good, but she'll undergo chemo once a month for 4 - 6 months.

This Sunday, under the leadership of Dr. David and Judi Wilson, a Bible study on the Gospel of Matthew will be held in the library for younger adults. The class will meet 10:15 - 10:50 a.m. Childcare will continue through this time so that everyone can attend. We urge you to consider being involved in this class to build friendships and understand how the Bible addresses the issues we face.

Please remember all newsletter articles must be received in the church office by Thursday, June 19th.

May you have a day filled with God's goodness and presence.

In His Grace,

Pastor Matthew Neumann

Tuesday's Update

Dear Pilgrims,

This Sunday we launch a Bible study for younger adults at 10:15 a.m. in the youth room. Under the leadership of Dr. David and Judi Wilson, we believe this is the beginning of a group that will grow and build friendship beyond Sunday morning worship. We urge all younger adults (20ish to 40ish) to attend and check out what is happening. The study will center on the Gospel of Matthew and apply the Bible to our everyday life situations. Child care will be provided.

The memorial service for Rev. Art Van Camp is this Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at Pilgrim. We invite you to attend and give thanks for Art's life.

Sign-up continues for those who would like to help at Vacation Bible School in July. A sheet will be in Sunday's bulletin.

We have various opportunities for fellowship and service throughout the summer. Please check our website at pilgrimonline.org and the weekly bulletin. Although most of us will take a vacation during the summer, it's important to note that a majority of Pilgrims are in town any given week, and Pilgrim ministries continue all year.

Have a great day.

In His Grace,

Pastor Matthew Neumann

Building Fund

This morning Sam and Anna walked up the biggest check ever in Church. This check was raised by all the children in the Church for our Joyful Noise Pre-School just by putting their change into a jar. They could have saved a lot more but the jar was getting way to heavy for anyone to lift. Thanks to Todd V. and the equipment he has at work, he made this check for us. Way to go boys and girls!!!
