Friday's update

Dear Pilgrims,

This Sunday my message is titled, "The Priceless Gain," with Philippians 3:7-11 as our Scripture reading.

We are one of the drop sites for Shoes for Kids. We'll be receiving new shoes for children in our county over the next month. You can make a big difference in the life of a child by donating a new pair of shoes.

The Annual Church Picnic is scheduled for July 6th after the 11:00 a.m. Service. Hope to see you there!

The Church Barbeque scheduled for July 12th has been cancelled.

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for July 14 - 18, 5:30 -8:00 p.m. Registration forms are in this week’s bulletin and the newsletter.

Each week we collect food for the Salvation Army in the box and shopping cart on your left in the front entry. If you can help, your thoughtfulness would be much appreciated.

The golf tournament for our capital campaign is July 20, Sunday, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Lots of prizes and gifts will be handed out, and proceeds will benefit our campaign.

Have a wonderful day; see you Sunday.

In His Grace,

Pastor Matthew Neumann

Tuesday's update

Dear Pilgrims,

We have several events and ministry opportunities in store for June. Please note the following and consider being involved in one or more.

July 6 is our annual picnic following the 11:00 a.m. service and is always a big hit.

July 12 we are offering a bar-b-que by Big John in our community center. Tickets will be on sale this week.

July 14 - 18 is our Vacation Bible School and every year we have a large number of children attending. This is a grand time of sharing the love of Christ with the kids and modeling the life and grace of Jesus to the children, many of whom do not attend church.

July 20 is the golf outing at Bobcat Trail that will benefit our capital fund. A local business is overseeing our efforts and guiding us through the process. All golfers and friends are urged to participate.

We are one of the drop off sites for Shoes For Kids in Charlotte County. You may bring a new pair of shoes for a child and place them in the box in the church entryway.

These events are representative of what's in store next month, and we have several other happenings on tap.

Above all, we ask you to pray that the presence of the Lord will be evident in our worship services and that we will hear His voice in a unique manner. Pray that those who have not surrendered their lives to Christ would be moved to do so. May we grow in our love and service to the Lord, and our love and service to others.

In His Grace,

Pastor Matthew Neumann
