Friday's Update on August 8th

Dear Pilgrims,

This Sunday we'll spend a few minutes hearing testimonies from some of our folks who were on the mission trip to Biloxi . Please continue praying for the team in New York at the Young Lives Camp. My message on Sunday is titled, "Practicing What You've Learned," with Philippians 4: 1- 9 as our Scripture reading.

New members will be received into Pilgrim on Sunday, August 31, with a class being held on Tuesday, August 26, 7:00 p.m. in the church library.

Thank you for your continuing support of Pilgrim's ministry as we make a difference in the hearts of people in Jesus Name.

In His Grace,

Pastor Matthew Neumann

08-08-08 2 Years and still Waiting

As most of you are aware - one of our couples who serves as Deacons Sherri & Todd Jolicoeur-Vana are adopting a baby from China. Today marks their 2nd year LID Anniversary "log in date" of waiting for the baby girl "Emma" from China. Sherri has made a new blog for their journey and would like to share that with everyone. If you haven't seen their first blog "Our Journey to Emma" <--you may chick here. Their new blog is "Life as we wait". Sherri is closing down their old blog because she wants a new start after this long drawn out wait. To continue on their journey just click on the link above life as we wait. And please Pray for them for a speed up as the CCAA has slowed down the process.

Tuesday's Update August 5th

Dear Pilgrims,

What a great Sunday we shared together. Our attendance was the best ever for the first Sunday in August; we had lots of kids in the first service, and we appreciate our many South Port folks who can now attend due to South Port running a van to the 11:00 a.m. hour.

Our mission team to New York will be leaving Tuesday and working with teen moms at Young Lives camp, caring for their babies while the mothers learn about Jesus, develop parenting skills and build new friendships. Let's pray for the team and the moms each day. In Sunday's bulletin a daily prayer guide was included. If you need a sheet please phone the church office at 629-2633.

This Wednesday I begin a six week class based on Phil Yancey's book, PRAYER: DOES IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE? We'll meet in the library from 7:05 - 8:30 p.m. each week. A participant's guide will be available.

Every Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. some of our folks gather to spruce up the grounds around our buildings. If you would like to help, Phil Murray would welcome you. Just show up.

Do you know that school begins two weeks from today (Tuesday), and that teachers report a week from today or earlier? Summer vacation draws to a close.

May the peace, love and joy of Jesus overshadow your life.

In His Grace,

Pastor Matthew Neumann
